Open letter to the mother down the street

Dear Neighbor,

I have only met you a few times, but I have met your kid countless times and quite frankly, I’m sick of him. He’s irritating, whiney, aggressive, annoying and he won’t stop talking to me or trying to play with me and my kids.

I would like to know why you never play with him. He’s only four and way too young to be roaming the neighborhood by himself. You don’t work, you’re not a student, you don’t have any other kids. What the hell are you doing all day?

You do realize that if I am forced to hang out with your bratty little kid one more time, I am going to send you a childcare bill.

Sincerely,

The mother that plays with her kids when she’s not at work.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

That is so brutal! Poor kid. (And poor you.) I had a neighbor who was seriously depressed and would take long baths by herself while her two very little boys played for hours outside with no supervision. I had to teach them to stop standing on my front lawn while staring in at me playing with the kids. I hope your situation has improved!
