Monday Quotes #7

Men should always change diapers. It’s a very rewarding experience. It’s mentally cleansing. It’s like washing dishes, but imagine if the dishes were your kids, so you really love the dishes.  Chris Martin

At first I liked this quote, and then it just pissed me off. Obviously men should always change diapers. They shouldn’t be the only ones changing diapers, both parents need to be ready to take on the diaper changing. They should also both wash dishes.

As for being a rewarding experience, well, I don’t think washing dishes or changing diapers are rewarding experiences. Mostly they are both just kind of those tedious tasks that need to get done.

Also, there is a big difference between my children’s bums and our dishes!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

There is an old saying: If you washed the dishes and your wife didn’t see it, you didn’t wash the dishes… Same goes for diaper change…

Oh Chris Martin, I’d probably say the same thing if I had nannies.
