As promised, here’s my first crafty post! All crafts and links to instructions will also be available on the Dirty Rotten Crafts page.

Supply list:

-2 empty toilet paper rolls
-tape of any kind

Optional supplies:
-Random bits of stuff to be glued
-Any type of coloring, painting or writing utensil

-Take the 2 toilet paper rolls.
-Hold them together side by side.
-Tape around the rolls.

If you’d like to get all fancy with this one you could also color them or glue random stuff on them. I have no pictures of the fancy version because I only do the simple crafts.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home.

Perfect! Easy, fun and, I bet, totally entertaining!

Brilliant! I’ve done the one-empty-toilet-paper-roll kind, which happens to be an excellent trumpet toy too. Will definitely be doing this version soon!

Must dig up a picture of the santa-toilet-paper-roll I made with my kid one christmas… she STILL hoards empty toilet paper rolls, bringing them home from her school, all crumpled, because “mommy, see, we can do crafts with this!!”.

    • I’m all for scrounging ‘craft’ supplies where you can find them!

I’ll be showcasing some cereal box kites soon!

I made the binoculars yesterday, they were a smash hit!

I’ll be looking forward to the cereal box kites 🙂
Me and my kid crafted a cereal box crown/tiara once. It looked awful, but she loved it to bits 🙂

  3. You’re just so gosh darn clever!

I think I got tripped up on one of the directions. Was I suppose to tape one of the rolls to my head? I don’t think that was suppose to happen.

  5. Finally–a craft I can successfully complete! Thank you!!!
