Time Out for Good Behavior

The little midgets (no offence intended to actual midgets) have been exceptionally well-behaved lately, which leaves me at a loss as to things I can blog about. It’s like I’m getting a little time-out for their good behavior. I have mental space to think about non-kid things during non-work hours! It won’t last.

Some non-kid things on my current horizon:

First of all, Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day mateys! I will be consuming at least one rum-based drink tonight in honor of this fabulous holiday.

Secondly, we’ve been watching the Resident Evil movies in preparation for actually going to the movie theatre for the latest one. I’ve been having lots of zombie based dreams. I may need a support group soon.

Thirdly, since I mentioned my Operation: Shrink Fanny Pack plan, I’ve been approached to review a product for Slim Kicker that is supposed to measure your exercise output, or how many steps you take, or something like that! Their website is designed to help you track your exercise and diet, has a community forum for support and encouragement, and provides reminders to reward yourself for meeting the goals you’ve set. I’m a little sceptical of the amount of work this may involve, but I’m going to give it a go and let you know what I think. I’m also going to test it to see if it will measure stomping my feet at my desk as jogging.

Fourthly, many thanks to Rita Russell for her kind nomination for a Kreativ Blogger Award! Rita is working on a novel. I thought about writing a novel, I started writing several novels, I have come to the realization that novel-writing is not for me!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

    Nope. It won’t.
    That says it all.
