I Am the Naughty List: Monday Quotes #26

xmas-stocking-coal“You can’t take me off the naughty list! I AM the naughty list!” King Julian (Merry Madagascar Christmas Special)

I think we’re going to need to go over who goes on which list and why at our place. It’s still early in December so they have a little time to mend their naughty ways.

Naughty list qualifications
Whining
Hitting your sister
Hitting your brother
Whining
Throwing your toys around
Following directions so slowly that time seems to move backwards
Crying for no reason for a really long time
Whining
Taking toys away from your sister
Taking toys away from your brother

At this time of year, it’s just so damn easy to discipline using the Santa method. No need for supervising time-outs, all you need to say is, “So much for Santa kids. Better luck next year!”

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

  1. Reasons why I probably should have done Santa all of these years so I could pull the Santa card!

  2. Loved the quote. I think we have all been a bit naughty this year. ❤

  3. momtimes4 says:

Oh no – all my kids, me, and mu husband are on the naughty list!!!

  4. sillyliss says:

I think you forgot one — whining.

    LOL, love it.

  5. Yeah, I have frequently said “Well, Santa doesn’t like boys or girl who _________(hit, are rude, whine, whine a lot, whine all the time, don’t listen to their mommy, whine) so I guess you don’t want anything from him for Christmas this year…” It’s great! Also, we talk about how Santa gives things to people who can’t afford to have things of their own….so I’m not totally bad… *cough*

  6. Lara says:

The Santa threat is not working nearly as well as I’d like. Sigh.
