The Baby in My Belly

My 4yo son thinks he has a baby in his belly. This morning at breakfast he told us that it was going to be born next Christmas, 11.5 months from now. He also said that he wouldn’t need to make a Christmas list because the baby was going to be his present. His little sister is going to look after the baby while the rest of us go out and fight bad guys.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home.

Precious. I think his little sis is getting ripped off.

Congratulations! That’s very exciting news! I wonder if the baby will clean up after himself. From now on, I (and my children) will only be having babies that clean up after themselves.

I’m a little concerned about your son. I mean, I hope I don’t offend you, but why hasn’t he considered that the baby will be born with super powers and will be ready to bash criminal heads in shortly after the birth??? (I LOVE this!!! He’s so creative and imaginative!)

  4. Did you watch Incredibles? That’s what brings on family super hero fighting and stuff in my house. As for the baby in the belly, I got nothin. 11.5 months, isn’t that the gestational period for an elephant? Or a horse? Oh boy…
