No Quote Monday

I have no pithy quote today dammit. My son is sick again today and I am “working” from home while he hacks out a lung or two while playing Angry Birds on the iPad.

I hear that there are mothers out there who run businesses from home while their kids are underfoot. I’ve heard about them, but I’m not convinced they really exist. Their kids must be at school during the day because I have no idea how to accomplish anything remotely resembling productivity with 1 sick kid never mind 2 healthy ones rampaging about the house.

I’d write more, but he’s probably going to need me any second and I still have a tonne of stuff to get done.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home.

  1. Yeah, I had all three of them at home last week and the only thing I wanted to do was get our master bedroom closet cleaned out. Suffice to say, it still looks like a dump. If you have little kids at home then either your work has to suck or your parenting sucks, because I don’t see how both can be done well!! Unless you’re a super parent or something I guess…

    • Or have discovered a way to either clone yourself or time travel. Or you sedate your children. Or put them in cages in the basement for the day. Or your ‘job’ is playing online poker at night. Just a few possibilities off the top of my head.

Sick kiddos are the worst! Hope yours feels better soon. And those mothers with children at home that run a business are somehow related to Clark Kent.

Even more crazy….work-at-home moms who home-school! What the? Someone needs to start an under-cover spy service for all the mom’s reading or hearing about this crazy shit while wondering how to finish a cup of coffee!

Awwww. Sick AGAIN? That is just not fair.

I have no idea how work-at-home moms do it. Honestly, before I had kids, I thought I would do that. After I had kids I thought, no way no how can a person do that.

I can barely get house work done. Never mind something that will be judged by the world of work!

Never easy to have kids home sick – somehow the day seems really LONG but, there isn’t enough time to get stuff done!
