Smart Traffic Lights

traffic light

It’s watching you.

Have you ever noticed that traffic lights seem to be tuned in to your child’s needs? It’s eerie really, the way the lights do exactly the opposite of what I and my child need them to, nearly every trip between home and daycare.

When your child needs to go to the bathroom and you know there’s a McDonald’s you can sneak into, three intersections away; that’s when you hit three red lights. Or when your kid wants a toy that fell on the floor and you tell them you’ll grab it as soon as you get a red; that’s when you get green lights the rest of the drive to daycare.

It’s like the lights are conspiring against you.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

Its not just the lights but the weather, idiot drivers cutting you off and other things conspiring as well.
