My Kids Stink Today

We decided not to bathe the kids last night. We were busy, it got late, and then it was bedtime before we could say “boo.” We should have bathed them. When I picked them up from daycare yesterday, they were dumping shovels full of dirt on one another.

I did wash their hands and faces for supper. Then I washed their arms and faces before they went to bed.

This morning, when I sent my daughter (naked) to her room to get a clean pull-up, she peed on the floor. Her feet got cleaned but we missed wiping her legs down. I also made the decision not to inhale while giving hugs this morning.

We only bathe them twice a week. Sunday and Wednesday nights, so missing a bath night can only lead to extreme stinky-ness. Oh well, we’ll be sure to hose them down tonight at the very least.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

  1. Or if they miss a bath you could just take them to a chlorinated pool the next day, huh?

  2. LOL – I was so happy that just after he turned 3, Mr. T could shower by himself, (for the most part!) Every couple of showers I’d double check the hair washing and behind the ears. That was seriously one of the happiest days of my life!
