Hard to believe

As I walked into our daycare this morning, my kids prancing along beside each other giggling and singing the ABC song, I thought to myself, “Would anyone believe they were acting like demon-spawn less than half an hour ago?”

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

  1. I would. Been there, done that. It also happens with a class of 30 tiny rugrats…one minute you’re ready to walk out and leave them to devour each other and the next you want to smother them with hugs and take them home. (Both bad ideas, by the way.)

Something about being in public always turns my boys into angels. NO ONE believes me when I talk about their antics at home. I tell people their looks are deceiving, they are cute little angles, until they become cute little demons.

I’ve had the opposite problem on more than a few occasions: he will be a delight when we’re on our own, but the second we’re out in public or we have visitors, it’s like he’s a wild animal. Children are evil sometimes 😦
