I Don’t Need You Mommy

We are continuing to fail at potty training our little girl on a daily basis. However, the other night while playing outside with the kids, she announced that she was going inside to go to the potty and that “I don’t need you Mommy. You stay outside.”

Me: Do you want me to come help you?

Her: No! I go by myself.

Me: Are you sure?

Her: You stay there.

Me: Okay sweetie.

I gave her 2 minutes before I followed her into the house. She had pulled off a pull-up full of poop, tossed it in the trash, and was attempting to wipe while sitting on the toilet.

I cleaned her up, cleaned up the toilet seat and took out the poop garbage.

I’m still needed. For now.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
