Just Fence Them In

The best thing about our house is the big, fence enclosed back yard. We can toss the kids out there and they are good for the morning. Sure we check in on a regular basis. If they go in the kiddie pool one of us will sit on the deck (with a drink and a book) or watch from the kitchen while making lunch.

When they fight, we just yell down at them to cut it out or they’re getting the whining medicine.

Ah, there’s nothing like summers in a back yard cage.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

This is the best thing. It lets kids get out and play and takes care of the supervising aspect all in one fell swoop. I love summer!

The last time I let my boy outside on his own, he poured the dog biscuits into her water and then used said water to “clean” his play house. At least he didn’t eat them, I guess!
