So You Won’t Die

I was exercising downstairs with the kids the other evening – they wanted to watch exercise shows and I felt compelled to make some sort of related movements. Usually I exercise after the kids go to bed. By usually, I mean when my guilt overcomes my lack of motivation.

Son: Mommy, are we exercising?

Me: Yes we are.

Son: So you won’t die?

Me: Sure, so we won’t die.

One day we’re going to have to have the life and death talk. For now, all we need to worry about is exercising so we won’t die.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
