The Crocodiles have taken over our house!

It’s Monday morning, we’ve finished our breakfasts and everyone is dressed. The kids have closed themselves up in our daughter’s room. They are reading books on the bed together. They are safe on the bed from the crocodiles that have taken over our house.

Unfortunately, it’s time to get their teeth brushed and get them out the door to school and daycare. What’s a mommy to do? I really hate to interrupt those precious moments when they are playing so damn well together.

Thank goodness for the crocodile invasion. It’s amazing how fast they get to the safety of the bathroom when you have to dodge the  crocodiles. And since they have to take turns holding the door closed against the ferocious beasts, they don’t have time to pester each other at the sink. Then there’s no time to dawdle as we race to the safety of the entrance carpet, because if we stop we’ll be eaten.

Sigh, I’m really loving the crocodiles.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
