Sitting in the dark

Lately, the kids have been wanting to play with the lights off. They’re pretending to be sleeping babies, sleeping reptiles, sleeping jaguars, and various other sleeping creatures. These are games that parents fantasize about.

So, this afternoon I helped them build a large blanket fort. I dug out the flashlights from their hiding spots. I am now sitting on my son’s bed, which is stripped of blankets and pillows, typing away with horrible posture. All I need is a cup of tea and something to put it on.

Parenting bliss!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
