Putting Christmas back in the closet

It’s nearly time to pack up all the Christmas wrappings, trimmings, trees and candles and shove it all in a box in the back of the closet, to gather dust until next year. I like to wait until after the new year before packing everything away. Instead of obsessing about resolutions that I’ll probably break, I just focus on packing decorations and not breaking those. That way, I can ring in the new year with a feeling of success.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

Our kids already broke everything that was possible to break and have pulled off all ornaments from the middle down, so I don’t have much work left. 🙂

Reading the tittle just broke my heart. I can’t believe the holidays are over already!

  3. I got rid of mine last week – sad isn’t it…. On the upside, I did throw out some ornaments to make way for the new ones I find when I do the Christmas battle next year….seems like a pattern here…

  4. I usually start putting my decorations away on Dec 26th. I haven’t this year only due to pure laziness. I like going into the new year (and hopefully you’ll have a truly spectacular new year) with a breath of fresh air and clear skies ahead xoxo
