Sweet Mondays

My dear son has been home for nearly 2 weeks now. Holiday break and all. I love the boy dearly, but Monday cannot come soon enough. He’s getting restless, we’re getting restless. He’s getting bored, we’re getting tired of playing lego, dice games with no rules, transforming the transformers and fetching snack after bloody snack. Maybe we should have kept his little sister home from daycare a little more to help keep the boy entertained, but she loves playing with her little friends more than she loves putting up with her big brother all day long. I know how she feels.

It’s Thursday… but Monday’s a’coming!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

  1. hehehehehehe! Mine is 15 and I count down the days… but fortunately, so does he!

  2. Funny stuff! My daughter has been home for almost two wks on Christmas vacation…finally today she was headed back and she (and I) couldn’t wait. Oh no…mother nature decided to unload on us and oh joy…snow day. It’s ok though…it turned out to be one of those rare really awesome kind of days. We got lucky.
