Back to school

This morning I dropped my son off at school. Like every school day, when the bell rang we parents lined up our kids by the door while we stood in a line across from them. No child was missing this Monday. They were full of energy, excited to see one another and all clamouring to tell their teacher what they did over the break and what they got from Santa.

The parents were giddy with excitement too! After two wonderful weeks – two long, exhausting, activity filled, endless weeks… we could return to our glorious jobs and routines.

Happy New Year indeed!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
