Sick Days

All I can say is that it’s a good thing I’m unemployed at the moment. In the past month, my kids and I have had more sick days than healthy days. It sucks.

Thank goodness that all seems to be behind us with only a few lingering coughs and sniffles… hardly worth a mention.

Now I can focus on finding another job. I had been toying with the idea of starting up a business, but after ridiculous amounts of market research I came to the realization that I hate nearly everything about being an entrepreneur! Hardly auspicious for starting a business…

Wish me luck on my job hunt!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.

I feel your pain. I went back to the temp agencies. Luckily for me, I found a long term-temp job that since I’m doing a good job- they keep me on…it’s been a year (and no talk about hiring me.) AND our family (too) have had the worse sick 2013/2014 ever! I’ve been gone a lot Dec./Jan. However, I must really do a good job because they don’t plan on having me go any time soon. 🙂

Good luck with your “job hunt” and maybe check into a couple of agencies. The great thing about “temping” is you can dictate your schedule which works great when kids have school (and all those holiday/furlough days) crap- my kids have another 2 days off (Friday/Monday) for President’s day. Thank goodness my husband works from home.

  2. I’ve often thought it would be nice to own my own business, but then I realize that owning a business probably means you have to talk on the phone.

  3. Good luck! I’m sending good energy your way as you are looking and going back for those second interviews! 😉
