The Sibling Haircut

I had been hoping to completely avoid this particular milestone, but sadly, the other evening my little golden haired angel joined her daddy in the bathroom to get her teeth brushed. I heard a yelp and a loud, “What happened to your hair!” Long, beautiful locks of hair were falling down her dress, and strewn in a path through the living room and into the bathroom.

Naturally she blamed her big brother. When confronted, big brother said, “She asked me to cut it.”

It’s pretty appalling. She has one very short patch in the back of her head and two moderately short patches on either side just above her ears – it’s a bit mullet-like. There’s really no way to fix her hair and she would freak out if we cut it all off. She’s really keen on her “Rapunzel hair.”

Sigh… at least we can cross off hair stylist as one of the boy’s special talents.

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
