A Dirty Rotten Christmas Blessing

May your children remember that they’re being watched,
By Santa and his elves and that weirdo on the shelf.
May they keep close in mind that their behavior these days,
Could boot them off the nice list in all sorts of ways.
May they go to bed early on December 24th,
And sleep in just a little, the very next morn.
May there be no whining about the socks and underwear you bought,
To fill up their stockings (those greedy little sots).

May your home be filled with laughter and cheer,
May your toddler learn how to bring daddy a beer.
May your little princess throw nary a fit,
When you tell her it’s time on the potty to sit.
May your teenager refrain from rolling his eyes,
During family game time, and also hold in his sighs.
May this festive season of loving and giving,
ring in a new year full of joyous living!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

About dirtyrottenparenting

I'm a parent of two lovely (most of the time) children. I work full time out of the home and I don't cook well, bake, sew, or do crafty things. I keep my high heels and jewelry at my office because there's no point in having them at home. I love Mondays because I can return to the world of adults, go to the bathroom alone and have nearly uninterrupted conversations with others.
