My son really wants to watch the movie Jurassic World. We, on the other hand, are planning to pre-screen it to make sure it’s not too scary. It’s probably too scary for me but I’ll deal with the nightmares without waking my parents up at some ungodly hour.
My son, on the other hand, has just insisted that he never gets nightmares. News to me, as I’m the one who gets up at the ungodly hours when I hear the dreaded “mooooommmmmyyyy” in the dead of night. This is usually followed by, “I had a bad dream.”
He has come up with a plan to get rid of the nightmares. He plans to just hit himself in the head until the nightmare goes away. This turns his brain off and on again, so it will be okay to watch Jurassic World.
I’ll keep that in mind.

Lol. I suppose it would not be acceptable if I were to hit my kids in the head to get rid of the nightmare and continue my sleep…?
I think you just have to find a way to trick them into hitting themselves.
